# 26  Eight holes
This Eleven, photographed in 1961, had eight air outlet holes cut into the tail section.  The Register had the complete early history of this very interesting and successful Eleven, but its current owner didn't until recently when a connection was made.  More details later.
#27  an Extra Tube
Note the vertical tube in the center of the photo.  It is inboard of the left / front spring, behind the swing axle. A few Elevens that were driven either by Chapman or copycat competitors in the UK had this extra tube welded into the front frame to stiffen it against cornering distortion.  There has always been a question whether this was even necessary.  But perhaps Chapman was actually right.  Article to follow.
# 28  the Gullwing Coupe

# 29  Headfairings

# 30  Hood & Sticks
By popular request, the Lotus Eleven Register will undertake its first parts project since the 1970s.  An effort has begun to compile patterns and plans for the street (glass) windscreen, soft top and bows that were once factory options.  All details and plans will be shared on this website, free for anyone to use.  If you have, or know of, an original Eleven glass windscreen, or hood & sticks setup,  please contact the register.
